I’m Arnab Basu.

Since childhood, I have loved drawing and making handmade items. I used to watch television programs that taught craftwork—those shows inspired me even more. Even back then, I dreamed that one day I would do something meaningful with handcrafts.

On the other hand, I first started taking photos in classes 7–8 using my father’s feature phone. Later, during my college years, I used a point-and-shoot camera to capture various moments of nature and people. That’s when my love for photography truly blossomed, and I also developed an interest in photo editing.

In a movie, I saw a hero wearing a T-shirt printed with his beloved’s photo, which sparked my interest in print customization. Inspired by that, after finishing college in 2018, I started ‘Upahar’—a venture that combines handcrafted products with custom print items.

In 2020, the online journey began, and the brand was named ‘Upahar18’. Along this journey, a few well-wishers inspired me to recognize the hidden capabilities within myself. With their encouragement, I now dream that one day Upahar18 will cross national borders and reach the international stage.

But all of this is only possible because of you—our ‘Upahar18’ family—who have shown trust and given your support. As long as you are by our side, I believe we will keep moving forward together—this belief is my strength.
