The Handcrafted Coin Tree by Upahar18 is one such creation.
It is not merely an art piece — but a unique fusion of thought, effort, and life’s symbolism, crafted with rope and real Indian coins.
1. From the Seed of Thought, a Work of Art Was Born
I’ve had a hobby of collecting coins since childhood, and I still do.
One day, while looking at my collected coins, I wondered — what if something could be made using coins?
Later, I happened to come across a picture on Facebook of a tree made with coins — although it looked completely different.
Still, at that moment, I felt I would create something in my own way — more beautiful, more refined.
And from that very thought, the idea of the Coin Tree was born.
Coin Tree — the realisation of that very thought.
2. The Story of Its Creation
To create this art piece, I first cut a board to make the base.
Then I wrapped a white rope in a circular shape on that board. I also cut another board into a ring shape and wrapped rope around that too — intending to place it like a frame.
After that, I gradually shaped the roots, trunk, and branches using rope.
Finally, I used ordinary Indian coins to represent the leaves.
It took about 3 hours to complete the entire work — but every step was filled with wonder, patience, and love.
